'Going Out Out' by Therapy:Style Bushmills

Dress codes can create a headache, particularly if we consider that we have been 'lounging it' for the past year and a half and counting. Conventional dress codes cover business wear, formal wear, but the in-between is frustratingly vague. So the Bushmills Banquet team have decreed guests who have managed to secure a ticket to this exclusive event embrace our BB dress code - 'Going Out Out'—loosely defined as somewhere between smart casual and formal black tie. It's an opportunity to dress up without constraint.
To help us navigate our way through immerging trends and post lockdown outfit ideas, we caught up with Bushmills fashionista and entrepreneur Pam McAlister of Therapy:Style and Therapy:Sole to ask for her help with what we might wear to the Bushmills Banquet and the upcoming party season.
She tells us, 'Fashion is like eating, you shouldn't stick to the same menu'. Well, that's right up the Bushmills Banquet street!
'You want something that brings the party to the event – but you also need to curate an outfit that keeps you warm and even comfortable at this time of the year'.
You need a coat that brings the wow – from my experience, you are heading to the wilds of the Causeway, so if you want to make an entrance consider your coat as you might need to keep it on to acclimatise whilst nibbling canapes and sipping mulled Bushmills whiskey! After all, you are stepping onto a red carpet so bear that in mind when choosing outwear'. Naomi is modelling three options above -

What's in store, Pam?
Both shops are bursting with stunning seasonal pieces, and we have a wide range of outfits, including accessories that would suit the banquet perfectly. Many of our customers are asking us for pointers as they haven't been out much, and we love the opportunity to engage with customers and guide them to find the perfect outfit regardless of the occasion.
Over the pandemic, both Therapy:Style and Therapy:Sole developed an online presence, but Proprieter Pam McAllister maintains there is nothing to compare from the personal experience of customers in-store catching up and discussing their needs. Our online stores have been a lifeline over the pandemic. We have embraced the opportunity to go online, but I have missed the contact with my customers, and I love that I can now do both.

The boot Iris Mix is made in an exclusive mix of suede, patent and real wool lining. All leather is from LWG certified production. The insole is made of a soft PU-foam material, which is both light and shock-absorbing. It is covered with the characteristic WODEN cork, to ensure breathability. The outsole is based on our Natural Soft technology. A technology designed to ensure you the best comfort. The sole consists of 65% natural rubber, 10% recycled rubber, and 25% conventionally produced rubber. Iris may cause compliments.
